ZACH AUGUST

Zach August is from Carrollton, Texas. He is now a sophomore working to receive his B.F.A in dance performance with a minor in business. He has performed many works from choreographers like Aszure Barton, Mark Burrell, and Lucinda Childs.

Zach has an interest in creating his own choreography and has learned so much about how to use improv and collaborate with others while piecing together a work.

CENELLIS BARON

Cennellis Baron, a native of New York City, is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts at Point Park University with a minor in creative writing. While attending Point Park she has had the opportunity to work with inspiring teachers such as Garfield Lemonius, Judith Leifer Bentz, and Jason Mcdole, and has worked with artists such as Joshua Peugh and Maree ReMalia.  In her spare time, Cennellis loves watching new movies while enjoying popcorn and a glass of wine.

TRILLIUM FALOTICO

Trillium Falotico, originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, is currently a Senior at Point Park University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Musical Theatre minor.  She began dancing at a young age and trained heavily in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, musical theatre, and character. She has attended summer intensives with the Ailey School, Kirov Academy of Ballet, River North Dance Chicago, Elements Contemporary Ballet, Movement Invention Project, and many more.  Trillium has also had the opportunity to perform works choreographed by Judine Somerville, Dmitri Peskov, Daniel Karasik, Colleen Hooper, Judith Svalander, and numerous others. In addition, she has performed as an improvisational artist at The Space Upstairs and an actor/dancer in several short films.  When Trillium is not dancing, you can find her helping a friend, singing while she walks down the streets of Pittsburgh, or dancing in the kitchen with her roommates.

ASHLEY GREEN

Ashley Green is born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, she is currently a junior in college at Point Park University working to obtain her BFA in Dance. Ashley started dancing at a young age, and continues to train everyday to be the best she can. Ashley has trained at various studios such as, Columbia City Dance Conservatory, Charleston Dance Institute, and Dance Conservatory of Charleston. Ashley has worked many choreographers such as Peter Chu, Aszure Barton, Darrell Moultrie, Stephanie Batten Bland, Joshua Peugh, Travis Wall, Sonya Tayeh, Lindy Fabynic, Maree ReMalia, and Garfield Lemonius. She has attended summer intensives such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.

RACHEL HUE

Born and raised in York, Pennsylvania, Rachel is currently in her Junior year of college working to obtain her BA in Dance with a Minor in Human Resource Management. Rachel started dancing from a young age and strives to continue her education in dance, as well as in all aspects of art. Rachel enjoys singing, acting, and teaching dance to all ages and all backgrounds. She has attended summer intensives with Alvin Ailey, Indiana University of Bloomington Contemporary Dance, The Rockettes, Eglevsky Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. In her freetime, she enjoys reciting Disney movies and spending time with family and friends. She hopes this piece will deepen your love for the arts and brighten your day.

JENNIFER MILANI

A native of Alberta, Canada, Jennifer Milani is currently completing her BA in Dance and BS in Business Management at Point Park University. While at Point Park, Jennifer has performed works from Kiesha Lalama, Colleen Hooper, Susan Stowe, and more. She has also trained with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, the City Ballet School in Maryland, and the American Ballet Theatre. Jennifer is very passionate about inclusivity and accessibility in dance and strives to exude nothing less than that in her own dancing and everyday pursuits. When she is not in the studio, you can find Jennifer trying to find the sunniest corner in town, making friends with the neighborhood dogs, or taking a nap.

AMELIA REUSS

Amelia Reuss is a dance artist and choreographer from Waukesha, Wisconsin.  She received her early training at the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy, and later was accepted to Point Park University where she is currently finishing up her B.F.A. in Dance and her History Minor.  While in Pittsburgh, Amelia had the opportunity to perform in several dance concerts at Point Park, charitable benefits, and student short films, and has appeared multiple times in projects at The Space Upstairs.  In addition to training and performing, Amelia has found her passion for choreography and created several pieces for both the stage and for film. Amelia is grateful for the opportunity to work with Maree and the amazing cast of dancers for Shimmer, and cannot wait to bring this nuanced world to the stage!

ADRIENNE (ADIE) SAN DIEGO

Adie San Diego, raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, began formal dance training at Carolina Dance Center, Inc. where she studied classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz styles.  She has worked with choreographers Victor Quijada, David Norsworthy, Kristen Carcone and has performed works by Nacho Duato, Brice Mousset, Joshua L. Peugh, Stefanie Batten-Bland, Kyle Abraham, and many other notable choreographers.  In 2015, her piece "Strummed" was chosen through adjudication to perform in the Emerging Choreographer's Showcase at SERBA Dance Festival.

Currently, Adie is in the process of earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in dance at Point Park University studying under esteemed professors Jason McDole, Matthew Powell, Judith Leifer-Bentz, Mark Burrell, and more venerate professors.  Additionally, Adie enjoys photography and videography and creating new things overall.  In her free time you would most likely find her in the kitchen cooking and baking.  

JOI WARE

Joi Ware, originally from Dallas, Texas, started her dance training at a young age. In high school, she attended the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she performed works by Robert Battle, Lar Lubovitch, Sidra Bell, and many more. Joi is currently a Senior at Point Park University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. At Point Park, she has also had the opportunity to work with choreographers like Jessica Hendricks, Garfield Lemonius, Joshua L. Peugh, Christopher Huggins, and others. Joi has attended summer dance intensives with San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and Kyle Abraham’s A.I.M. Outside of school and dance, Joi enjoys spending time with friends and family and developing her non-profit, Bold Motions, which promotes arts education and accessibility. 

CHEZNEY DOUGLAS

Chezney Douglas, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada began her formal dance training at the age of 5 at Bunker Dance Center. She continued her dance training there along with attending Las Vegas Academy of the Arts focusing on dance and 3D design until graduation.  The training includes that of tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and multiple folk dance styles. She has had the pleasure of working with and performing the work of Peter Chu, Stacey Tookie, Naomi Stikeman, Anthony Morigerato,Sonya Tayeh, Chloe and Maude Arnold and Roger Van der Poel. After beginning her college career at Point Park University, she had the opportunity to work with and perform the works of Tyce Diorio, Peter Chu, Adam Hougland, Colleen Hooper, and David Norsworthy. Chezney enjoys crafting and throwing pottery in her free time, along with reading and spending time with friends and family.

ADRIAN GREEN (Understudy)

Born in Fort Worth, Texas Adrian started performing at a young age doing musical theatre for 10 years, featured in musicals such as Aladdin, Carousel, All Shook Up, Godspell, and Guys and Dolls, etc. Adrian then began classical dance training at the age of 15 at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and performed multiple works, musicals, and ballets staged by Krista Langford, Sheyna Ferraro, and C. Nicholas Morris such as Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Napoli, and several Academy Musical Theater Company showcases and Dance Company concerts. Adrian has attended several summer intensives such as Glenda Brown Choreography Project, Kansas City Ballet, and recently admitted for the Royal Ballet summer program. Adrian is a freshman B.F.A. dance student at Point Park University with a concentration in ballet and is very excited for “Shimmer” to be his first experience working with a piece at Point Park.

TYLA HOWELL

Tyla Howell is a dance major at Point Park University, and is completing her third year at the school. Born in Atlanta Georgia, Howell did not begin her formal dance training until she was 13. She trained at Tri Cities Visual and Performing Arts High School, Ballethnic Academy of Dance, various local intensives, as well as Dance Theatre of Harlem’s summer intensive. In her free time she enjoys binge watching series and coloring. Upon Graduation in Spring of 2020, Tyla hopes to join a professional contemporary ballet dance company.

GRACE LOPEZ (Understudy)

Grace Lopez was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and remains within the city, working to complete her Bachelor of the Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Mass Communications at Point Park University. Prior to attending Point Park University’s Center of Preforming Arts, Grace had completed her past training at Studio 19 Dance Complex. In the most recent years, Grace has worked with choreographers such as Maree ReMalia, Aszure Barton, Pearlann Porter, Talia Favia, and Blake McGrath. Grace continues to train in styles such as classical ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and more. Two of her favorite things include early mornings and ice cream. 

KIMIE PARKER

Kimie Parker is an emerging dance artist residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Originally from San Diego, California, she attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA). She is currently in her last moments of earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Point Park University in Dance. Throughout her time at Point Park and SDSCPA, she has had the opportunity to perform works by José Limón, Donald McKayle, Alexandra Damiani, Larry Keigwin, Sidra Bell, Tyce Diorio, Jason McDole, and Garfield Lemonius. Kimie has also been featured as a Student Spotlight for her choreographed work "On/Off" (2017). Kimie has attended workshops and intensives with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, Limón Dance Company, AXIS Connect, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and San Diego Dance Theater.

HALEY TARLING

Haley began dancing at a young age and has continued since.  Some of her early training consisted of dancing as a member of Extensions Dance Company under the direction of Lizzie MacKenzie, along with choreographers such as Garth Johnson, Christian Denise, and Jarad Baker.  Currently, she is a junior at Point Park University and is pursuing her BFA in dance, along with a BA in Psychology. While at Point Park, she has worked closely with choreographers such as: Pearlann Porter, Maree ReMalia, Kiki Lucas, and Kiesha Lalama.  Along with that, she also dances as an improvisational artist at the Space Upstairs and recently danced in Shuree Rivera’s music video, Freedom. She has had numerous opportunities to choreograph while at Point Park and plans to pursue this in the years to come.  Outside of Point Park, she has participated in programs with Giordano Dance Chicago, DanceWorks, and River North Dance Chicago. Besides dance, Haley spends her time reading, making music, and making memories with the people in her life.

CHANNCE WILLIAMS

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Channce Williams began his formal training at the age of 15 at the Center of Creative Arts under the direction of Lee Nolting and Antonio Douthit-Boyd. He went on to attend Point Park University where he has performed both new works and revivals from choreographers such as José Limon, Sidra Bell and Aszure Barton. He has also attended summer intensives at Dance Theatre of Harlem and Nutmeg Conservatory in Torrington, Connecticut.
